Skirt steak was to die for -- crispy, flavorful, perfect. Mojitos -- yummy! And oh, the chocolate cigar ... a must-try.

Absolutely abysmal service. The waiter brought me the wrong meal, and subsequently argued that I had ordered it. This was followed by the manager trying to convince me to accept a meal I didn't want! The food was also subpar for the price. This is what you get for when you opt for Corporate Upscale dining - service is secondary to profits. I will never eat here again

Geno's Steaks
1219 S 9th St, Philadelphia, Wyndmoor,
I moved out of Philly in '83. Nary a days goes by where I don't think of cheestakes or Tastykakes. There's nothing like either of them anywhere. Period. Now, for the best steak... Living in the suburbs, we often went to Pat's, a 40 minute drive, most often in the midnight-3AM timeframe. But, it was for the experience, not for a great sandwich. Truth is, we never ever thought of going to Geno's, despite it being only 150 steps away. For the best steaks (yes, they're called 'steaks'), one has to go elsewhere, where provolone is used - not the dreaded cheese wiz used at Pat's and Geno's. Try any of the thousands of places in eswhere in the city, or in the suburbs. Even WAWA! Our favorite was always Larry's in West Philly (60th & Lancaster, and 54th & City Line), Larry was 5"1', stood on a box at the cash register, and and you could easily see the gun under his t-shirt. But the food was the best anywhere in the city. But, Larry is dead now, so who knows...
